New to Jam and Tea is me! I’m Faye, the new Jam and Tea blogger in residence as it were. I’ll be blogging about weddings, afternoon tea, styling, food and all things gloriously retro…you get the picture? It’s my mission to keep you posted on Jam and Tea’s delectable services, news, weddings, event styling and more. I’m thrilled to be part of what’s in store for Jam and Tea in 2016.
It’s exciting times as Maryanne launches her shiny new website and adds fabulous festival street food and a perfect pimp-my-gin bar to their expanding menu of services. So, for a relaxed do where you want your guests to mingle while they chow down, Jam and Tea offer a street food menu of warming bowl foods like curries, chilli’s and tagines or full on comfort food, mac n cheese, hot dogs and handcrafted gourmet burgers. There’s the option of lush wood-fired pizzas too.
The Pimp-my-Gin bar is a sure fired show-stopper where guests are able to help themselves to a shot of gin and then ‘pimp’ it right up with a choice of fresh garnishes such as; mint, basil, rosemary, thyme, juniper, lavender, to name a few. Cool right? A light up Pimp my Gin bar sign adds a touch of kitsch to the proceedings as do the stripy straws and rustic style props. A unique way to style up your own ‘cocktail hour’.

This is just the beginning of what is set to be an exciting year for Jam and Tea, Bespoke Catering & Event Styling and like I said, I’m thrilled to be part of it. In my previous life I ran my own vintage and makers fair business, Johnny Loves June, dabbled in magazine publishing with the Vintage Directory Brighton & Hove and wrote features for the fabulous Doily Days Loves Weddings magazine. After a break to have my second child, I am now a self-employed social media bod, writing blogs, features and web content. I feel I know a thing or two about what makes a good wedding after being a part of near on 25 weddings during my long career as a professional guest. It’s not a real job but it blooming well should be! I own a 1977 VW campervan, love things a little bit retro, a little bit quirky, a little bit kitsch. I love food, weddings, writing, and the 1960’s. I love coffee, the seaside, sunshine, books, red lippy and a good beehive.
Watch this space for more Jam and Tea blog posts coming soon.
