Is it weird that I’m not married or getting married but I enjoy nothing more than having a good old mooch through the pages of the fabulous Doily Days Loves Weddings magazine? Maybe I’m biased as I do occasionally write for the magazine and Helen, the Editor is a good friend, but I’ve been so impressed from the minute she announced “I’m going to publish a wedding magazine!” Well she blooming well did it and three years down the line it’s going stronger than ever and has more alternative, kitsch, quirky, eclectic, vintage and unique wedding content you can shake a stick at.
Therefore, when I saw that Jam and Tea for whom I am now blogger extraordinaire, were the featured wedding caterer in the special limited edition bumper issue, I jumped for joy! The fancy double page spread features beautiful photographs of Jam and Tea, by McKinley-Rodgers and Heline Bekker Photography, resplendent in all their kitsch catering glory.
The article talks about the beginnings of Jam and Tea and Maryanne’s (owner and director) background in pastry wizardry and her love of ‘cake, style and pretty…’. Plus there’s news of their new pizza ovens serving up both savoury and sweet pizzas and about how Maryanne’s own Mr Right is a dab hand at in-house carpentry and electricals for all the quirky props on hire.
